Catering

Betsy Clara nursing home has a modern, fully equipped kitchen. A highly skilled Head Chef leads a well trained catering team that are able to provide for any type of diet that may be required. The Menu's are nutritiously balanced and varied so as to provide the best possible dietary intake for the resident, and families are welcome to join their relatives for meals should they wish to do so. Special events are catered for and individual party needs can be met to help celebrate special occasions.

Bathing

In addition to the ensuite facilities in each bedroom, there are five assisted bathrooms with specially designed baths so that residents who cannot manage by themselves can still enjoy the pleasure of having a 'proper bath'.

Laundry

Betsy Clara prides itself on the high standard of laundry service that it provides. All linens are washed on the premises as are all personal items of clothing for our residents. This is provided at no extra cost. Dry cleaning, on the odd occasion, can be arranged but there will be a charge made for this outside service. Our Seamstress is available to repair or alter personal clothing as well as providing a labelling service. There is a small charge for the pre printed labels bought at the home.

Activities

Betsy Clara employs its own Activities Coordinator. Activities are varied and are tailored for the individual. There are a number of outside entertainers that come to the home to provide a wide variety of musical entertainment as well as organised events that enable residents to take part in activities as they choose. A complete assessment is made of the residents' likes and dislikes to enable the Activities Team to provide pastimes that each individual may enjoy.

Accommodation

All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, most with showers but a few with baths. They are fully carpeted and furnished to the highest standard and all bed linen, covers, quilts and towels are supplied. Residents are encouraged to include some items of their own furniture and personal effects, subject only to fire and safety requirements. The Home is centrally heated and double glazed throughout and all areas are carpeted. There are three separate lounges, two dining rooms and a conservatory (in which smoking is permitted). The gardens are south facing and seating is provided. There are facilities for parties and barbecues in the summer.
