Betsy Clara recently welcomed the Dementia Bus to Maidstone to provide an immersive and impactful training experience for colleagues, strengthening understanding of what it can feel like to live with dementia. The session enabled staff to step into the shoes of residents through a series of practical simulations, helping to build empathy, awareness and insight into the challenges people may face in day-to-day life. This hands-on approach supports the team to reflect on their practice and further enhance the quality of care delivered, ensuring interactions remain compassionate, person-centred and responsive to individual needs. The training forms part of Betsy Clara’s ongoing commitment to continuous learning and to providing the highest standards of dementia care.
